New year, new me-ish / tour dates announced / new sounds on Spotify

I love the new year. I love that it signifies a new beginning in a way, but also a way to look back on all the wonderful things that have come our way. 2017 was an incredible year for me - I got to tour across Western Canada, I played some incredible shows, and I released 'this desolate bliss.' which had been percolating away inside of me for a few years - it was a very cathartic thing for me to do. Releasing that album was a mix of excitement and fear - excitement to throw it into the world, but also fearful of letting go of something that has been incredibly close to my heart for a long time. All in all, I feel great about releasing the album, and I am very excited for what the next year brings.  First up, I will be bringing my band with me for a small (BUT MIGHTY) tour to the prairies! I am VERY excited for this! Dates are as follows:

January 24 // Winnipeg MB // Handsome Daughter // w The Deeds and Kakagi // More Info HERE

January 25 // Regina SK // Cloud 9 // w Ava Wild and Loa // More Info HERE

January 26 // Saskatoon SK // Capitol Music Club // w The Department Heads and The Bad Decisions // More info HERE

January 27 // Calgary AB // Nite Owl // w Lion Pride and The Torchettes // More info HERE

More tour dates will be released soon - keep up to date on my Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages <3

One more thing - I have been added to a few super cool playlists on Spotify which I am super jazzed about! Check them out here:

Lovely words from lovely people!!

Hope you are well. I have been busting my guts (that's the proper saying, yes?) with my album release, and I have had some AMAZING write ups from two wonderful Alberta-based publications.

Vue Weekly is an amazing Edmonton-based arts weekly, which I have loved for years. Sierra Bilton from Vue came over to my apartment for a chat, and ended up writing some beautiful words about this desolate bliss. - between that and the amazing photo taken by Dana Zuk, I felt real loved <3. You can read that article here.

Beatroute has been a wonderful source of music news in Alberta and beyond for many years, and I have always looked forward to reading it when the new edition comes out. I was honoured when Elizabeth Eaton offered to interview me for the paper. We had a great phone chat, and what resulted was a gorgeous piece about my new album that seemed to take the words right out of my heart. I almost cried when I read it! Will you cry too? Find out by reading it here.

I am continuously in awe of the hard work and dedication these publications have for local indie music in this province. It is very much appreciated!

Till next time,

Hello! I have gotten some great news - I have been voted 'Best Solo Artist' by the readers of Vue Weekly in Edmonton! It is a great honour and I am very shocked about it.

You can view all the winners here!

I have tickets available for the album release show in Edmonton - you can contact me if you are in town or you can purchase them online here.

Much love!

this desolate bliss. album teaser no. 4

These weeks are swimming by. Here is the fourth instalment in my series of teaser videos. This video was taken one night outside of Edmonton. The smoke was heavy from the wildfires in B.C. As the sun set, we were driving along the highway and there was an incredibly creepy vibe. I had to film it. This video is set to track no. 1 on my album. The song is 'Shadows'. I hope you enjoy.
